Appalachian-style Railings

Made of Mt. Laurel and Rhododendron sticks, these railings are durable, rot resistant, and stunning, reminiscent of Appalachian folk art and furniture. It turns any deck into a work of art.

This internal railing creates an accent to any room. It uses the same material as the outdoor rails and is even more durable over time.

rhododendron

The undergrowth of our Appalachian mountains, the Rhododendron and Mountain Laurel shrubs love our acidic, depleted soils. They are, however, toxic to humans and animals and emit a soil toxin poisonous to other plants (notice very few things grow around them). We clear them as part of our sustainable forestry management plan and also when clearing for agriculture land.
